  1. Love your blog. I stumbled upon “dragging ass” while researching for my son who just last week was diagnosed with epilepsy. Loved the entry! I, too, am in Colorado and work from home working for a technology company in the Silicon Valley. We have much in common and I thought I’d pop in and say – well done!

  2. i am writing my personal statement to gain entry into law school. I am 26 and a single mother of a vibrant 2 year old. im discussing how motherhood is alot like the demands law school can require and why im a great candidate for law school because im a great mom. can i really be a successful lawyer and raise my child in person?

  3. Kiki,

You certainly can. I made a conscious choice to spend less time at law school than my co-students, even though I knew my standing would be lower, so I could spend time with my daughter.

I spent about 50 – 60 hours a week working on law school, between classes and reading. The rest of the time I spent with my family. It was a wonderful experience and I was quite successful at it. Good Luck to you and I wish you the best!
